Tuckers Chukars

It’s come to my attention that there are still some readers that keep up with me through my old blog “Tuckers Chukars”. Tickles the heck out of me. I just thought I might pass on that “The reigning chukar champions” and “Tuckers Chukars” are pretty much the same site. I just moved on to the new site because it was easier to post video’s.

I mention this only because I have over ten years of blogs on my old site that might be fun to read by some of you. They aren’t anything new but I had fun writing many of them and they might be helpful in keeping you excited about the greatest bird there is for our hunting dogs, our four legged friends and the country we get to hunt in.

Back to current times. Me and the boys got out for another three hours yesterday before we got chased off the mountain by the heat. Once again, I’m real excited about the number of birds we saw and the reality that I’m not as bad of a shot as I was with elk horns strapped to my back. Still not as good as I would like to be but it was a step in the right direction.

I hope you all are getting out there and finding some chukars. Good luck.

Hunting has been a favorite past time for me for 55 years but the last twenty five years I have been consumed by chukar hunting and more specifically chukar hunting with fantastic dogs. In this blog I hope to pass on any information I can about chukar hunting but more than anything I want to showcase what will probably be my last two chukar dogs, Jake and Grady. I am 70 years old, Jake is 8 and Grady is 3 and I'm hoping to stay on the chukar mountain until I am 80 when Grady will be fetching my final chukars.
