A friend lost a dog while hunting over at camp Kettle creek off the Owyhee reservoir. She’s a liver and white GWP and got lost chasing a cripple. If any information or seen please call Jeff Funke at (208)-989-0721. We all know how hard it is to lose one of our great companions, so please keep an eye out.

Hunting has been a favorite past time for me for 55 years but the last twenty five years I have been consumed by chukar hunting and more specifically chukar hunting with fantastic dogs. In this blog I hope to pass on any information I can about chukar hunting but more than anything I want to showcase what will probably be my last two chukar dogs, Jake and Grady. I am 70 years old, Jake is 8 and Grady is 3 and I'm hoping to stay on the chukar mountain until I am 80 when Grady will be fetching my final chukars. View more posts
Post that all over Facebook and local pages

Many years ago I lost a setter pup while hunting the Owyhee. I put out a kennel and food and water and an my old stinky jacket. It snowed 6″ that night. We looked all over the area next day. Finally late in the Afternoon coming back to the Kennel We saw Wolfe. In 24 hours he had almost gone wild. I had to crawl on hands and knees to get close to him but I got him.

It would be so neat to get into their minds and see what they had gone through. Since birth they either had mom or you to take care of them and suddenly, left alone. scary.

How cool is that. 6 days in the wild and a report of seeing her down by the reservoir turned her up for Jeff. I’ll bet she could tell you some wild stories.
